RIO Technical Services, Inc. (RIO) is a privately held company headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Founded in 1995 as a registered (Texas) professional engineering company, RIO has enjoyed a diverse background in the energy industry. This commitment to diversity has led to opportunities for the company in many subsets of the energy industry, ranging from commercial power generation (including wind power, solar, nuclear, and fossil fuel) to technology development in hydrogen fuel cells and bio-fuels. Our employees have worked at commercial nuclear facilities, Department of Energy National Energy Technology Labs, and on engineering projects throughout the United States. RIO provides technical, management, and regulatory compliance services to develop, manage, engineer, construct and operate projects and plants for our investors and clients.

RIO was the first company to successfully permit an ethanol plant in Texas, the Levelland Hockley County Ethanol, LLC. This opportunity allowed RIO to develop special expertise in environmental permitting of ethanol plants. Since this first project, RIO engineers have worked closely with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) personnel sharing technical opinions and expertise on many environmentally important issues. Today, RIO is on the forefront of ethanol related development and construction in the State of Texas.
