Regulatory Compliance and Licensing
RIO maintains staff that is highly experienced in licensing and regulatory compliance for both Nuclear
Regulatory Commission and Department of Energy facilities.
Spent Nuclear Fuel Management and Storage
RIO has performed operational readiness reviews for a number of commercial independent spent fuel storage
faculties (ISFSIs). RIO recently provided complete license application support for an ISFSI for DOE fuels
(to be licensed by the NRC). This support included preparation of the license application, Safety
Analysis Report, and Environmental Report.
Decommissioning Planning and Implementation
RIO provides a variety of consulting services related to decontamination and decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
Our services range from technology evaluation, selection, and deployment to safety analysis and procedure
development and on-site project management support.
